SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men's and women's crew teams will head back to Saratoga Springs on Friday for the 2025 Liberty League Championships, held at Fish Creek. The Union teams will compete in a total of five events on the day, with the men taking part in three and the women competing in two.

The men's Varsity 8 was ranked 15th in Division III in a pair of IRCA/IRA Varsity 8+ polls earlier this month and are the top team receiving votes in the latest poll released on Wednesday. The boat started its season with a win at the Mohawk Fall Classic, while the men's Second Varsity 8 tasted victory at Amherst to start off the spring campaign and also finished second at the New York State Championships earlier this month.
The women's Varsity 4 has one win to its credit already this season after taking first at the Mohawk Fall Classic as well, and the women's Varsity 8 is coming off a third-place showing at the Novak Metropolitan Championships last weekend in New Rochelle.
Union College has captured five Liberty League championships since 2004. The men's team has won the Varsity 4 on two occasions (2004, 2021) and the Second Varsity 8 in 2010, while the women have captured the Novice 4 title twice (2017, 2022).
