The Union College men's hockey team boasts a strong tradition of success since its founding as an intercollegiate sport in 1923 and is one of only two programs at Union to have earned a national championship - and the only one to do so at the Division I level. Since moving to the Division I level in 1991, Union has built itself into one of the top programs in ECAC Hockey and in the country.
