Andy Brown has been named to the 2008-09 CoSIDA/
ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I second team, the organization announced late last week. Brown was one of only six Liberty League members selected to either the first or second teams. Brown played in 25 games this past season, batting .326 and driving in 11 RBI.
Brown, who normally plays second base or pitches, finished third on the team for hits, 23, and sixth for average. On the mound his 3.38 ERA was second on the team as he logged 26.2 innings pitched, striking out 17 and posting two wins.
The Saratoga Springs, NY native has made Dean's List every term and was a 2005 and '06 National Honor Society Member. He is also a Tau Beta PI Engineering Society member. His community service includes volunteering at the Maplewood Manor Nursing Home from 2003-07 and volunteering for America Reads in 2007.
