GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Union College baseball team was recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association with the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, sponsored by Sports Attack, for the 2025 season, the association announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The team has been honored for the 10th straight year, making Union one of 13 teams in the country to earn the distinction in every season since the award's inception in 2016. To be recognized, collegiate and high school baseball teams must maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale for the entire academic year. 

On the diamond, Union posted a 22-18 record and third-place finish in the Liberty League East Division. Off the field, the team set a program record for the second straight season with 15 players named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team, tied for second-most among all Union programs.
