Joyce wins final Liberty League weekly award of her career

SCHENECTADY, NY -- Senior attack Kristin Joyce has been named the Liberty League Co-Offensive Performer of the Week for games through May 7. She shares the honor with Hamilton attack Libby Schultz. 

In the Liberty League Tournament, Joyce scored eight goals and added an assist. In Friday's win over RPI, she became the all-time career point leader at Union. She had 12 shots and five draw controls for the weekend. Joyce ended the season with 61 goals and 74 points and ended her career with 252 goals and 299 points. She finished as the all-time leader in career goals and career points.  

This is the third honor for Joyce this season, and the 10th time in her remarkable career that she has won a Liberty League weekly award.

Union finished the 2011 season with an overall record of 10-8 and was 6-2 in the Liberty League. This is the 10th straight season that Union posted 10 or more victories in a season. The Dutchwomen reached the championship game for the eighth straight year.
