RESULTS
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Union College women's swimming and diving teams fell 168-118 to Hamilton College on Saturday at the Alumni Pool Gym. Three different Dutchwomen earned first-place finishes while four swimmers and divers earned second-place finishes.
Swimming in at a time of 2:36.61, sophomore
Rachel Clegg took first-place in the 200-yard breast. Winning the 50-yard free, senior
Priscilla Wright clocked in at 24.43 seconds. The senior also placed second in the 100-yard free with a time of 54.66 seconds. Clegg had a second-place finish, as well, swimming in at 1:13.32 in the 100-yard breast.
Freshman
Anne Trojanowski continued her win streak, claiming two wins during the non-conference meet. The rookie took the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:15.72 and won the 500-yard free with 5:19.05.
Madeline Ashworth was close behind, claiming third with a time of 5:31.51. The sophomore swam in at 11:07.09 in the 1,000-yard free for third-place, as well.
Scoring 227.77, senior
Lia D'Ambrosio took second-place on the three-meter board. Sophomore
Sarah Bradner earned a second-place finish, as well, swimming a time of 1:02.31 in the 100-yard back. Senior
Lexi Bascom was close behind, swimming in at 1:02.80 for third.
The Dutchwomen collectively took second-place in both the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard free relay. The squad of Bradner, Clegg, Trojanowski and Wright swam a 1:56.69 in the medley relay, while Bascom, junior
Diana Fletcher, Ashworth and Wright swam in at 1:42.69 in the free relay.
Union is back in action on Saturday, February 4th, at 2 p.m. when they take on Ithaca College.
