SCHENECTADY, NY -- The 2011 Union football team was honored on January 28 at the 14th Annual John Speer Union College Football Banquet held at Mallozzi's Banquet House in Schenectady. The January 28 event honored the 18 seniors and their teammates, and many awards were presented to the Dutchmen during the evening.

Head Coach John Audino, who completed his 20th season, presented a variety of team awards along with the members of his staff.

Senior wide receiver Justin Gallo was named to the All American Teams for D3Football and the American Football Coaches Association. He also was named the D3Football All Region Offensive Player of the Year and was selected to the ECAC All Star Team. Senior offensive lineman Dan Smith was also named to the D3Football All Region team. Gallo and Smith were joined by 14 other Dutchmen on the Liberty League All Star Team.

The senior class won two Liberty League Championships and an ECAC Championship during their careers.
