Anne Trojanowski wins three against Hartwick and Springfield

SCHENECTADY, N.Y.
- The Union College women's swimming and diving teams fell to Hartwick 119-111 and Springfield 147-93 on Saturday at the Alumni Gym Pool. The squad now moves to 0-5 on the season.

Anne Trojanowski had an excellent day for the Dutchwomen, dominating in three of her events. The freshman took first place in the 1,000 yard free with a time of 10:53.28. It is now the fifth fastest time for the 1,000 yard free in Union history. She also claimed first in the 500 yard free with 5:22.08, and clocked in at 2:16.96 for first place in the 200 yard fly.

Also performing well for Union was senior Priscilla Wright, who earned two second place finishes. The veteran swam a 25.08 in the 50 yard free and 55.80 in the 100 yard free.

Senior Lexi Bascom and sophomore Sarah Bradner also took second place in their respective events. Bascom swam a time of 2:14.01 in the 200 yard back, while Bradner swam in at 2:20.50 in the 200 yard IM. Sophomore Rachel Clegg earned yet another second place finish for the Dutchwomen, earning a 2:32.63 in the 200 yard breast.

Union finished out the meet with a second place title in the 400 yard free relay. The group of Bascom, junior Diana Fletcher, sophomore Emily Opolski and Wright swam a collective time of 3:46.18.

The Dutchwomen are back in action against rival RPI on January 13th at 6:00 p.m.
