CLINTON, N.Y. – The Dutchwomen swimming & diving squad were defeated in a dual meet by Hamilton College at Bristol Pool Saturday afternoon.
Union opened up the meet with a second place tally in the 400-yard medley relay as the quartet of
Emily Opolski,
Rachel Clegg,
Brittany Kenny and
Janine Cerutti compiled a time of 4:14.96.
Liberty League Honor Roll mention
Anne Trojanowski came away with a second place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle clocking in at 10:52.46. She also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a 5:26.10 mark.
Danielle Young earned a pair of second place finishes in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle events with times of 56.15 and 2:01.44 respectively.
Rachel Clegg also had a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events posting times of 1:13.02 and 2:37.69.
Brittany Kenny tallied a first place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, pacing the group with a 2:15.64 time. She also came in second in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard butterfly with times of 2:15.74 and 1:01.22 respectively.
Opolski also chipped in with a second place finish of her own in the 200-yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:15.98.
On the boards,
Sarah Dimmitt was able to place second in both the 1mtr and 3mtr events with marks of 246.66 and 225.52.
Union will host their final dual meet of the season at Alumni Gymnasium Pool against Ithaca College on Saturday, February 2 beginning at 2 p.m.
