Former Union men's hockey standout Daniel Ciampini '15 signs AHL contract

SCHENECTADY, NY—Former Union College men's hockey forward and 2015 Hobey Baker Award finalist Daniel Ciampini '15 has agreed to terms with the Ontario Reign, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings.

Ciampini, who tied a program single-season record with 50 points during the 2014-15 campaign, appeared in 48 games for the Indy Fuel of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) last season, producing 14 goals and 24 assists for 38 points, also tallying one goal in 10 games for the Rockford IceHogs (AHL).

The Concord, Ontario native played 131 career games for the Dutchmen producing 63 goals and 55 assists for 118 points. Ciampini ranks second in the program's Division I era in career goals and career game-winning goals (14) and fifth in career points.
