SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - The entire Union College women's team competed at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY on Sunday. This regatta gets more than 2400 competitor entries and is 3200 meters long.
The weather was sunny, but high gusts of wind made racing difficult at certain points in the day. The women's novice 4+ came on strong and finished second out of 18 with a time of 17:29.02, earning a silver medal. The silver medalists consisted of coxswain Jiaming Sun,
Jennifer Mutch,
Tylor Nowell , Alexandria Temple and
Hallie Altwies. They were the strongest Liberty League boat.
The women's novice 8+ finished 9th out of 31 entries with a time of 15:09.83 and was the third fastest Liberty League boat behind RIT and William-Smith. The women's first Varsity boat finished 19th out of 23 with a very fast time of 14:02.21 and they were the fifth fastest Liberty League boat. The Varsity boat consisted of coxswain

Unfortunately due to debris in the river the 2nd Varsity boat suffered a broken skeg in the beginning of their race, making their steering inoperable The boat finished 20th out of 20 with a time of 19:22.61.
Insero also competed in the women's collegiate single, finishing 8th out of 25 with a time of 15:26.7. Her boat was the top Liberty League boat
This marked the last race of the season for the Dutchwomen and they will return to racing again in the spring.
