SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Celebrating 100 days until kickoff, Union College head football coach
Jeff Behrman formally announced the 2022 football schedule on Thursday.
Union will play a total of ten teams consisting of four non-conference opponents and six Liberty League foes.
The Dutchmen open the 2022 slate on the road at Allegheny College on Sep. 3 for the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Gators finished the 2021 season with a 3-7 record and recently rejoined the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
Union's home opener is set for Sep. 10 when the Dutchmen host Worcester State. The team will take a short trip down route 90 to Springfield College on Sep. 17 for a matchup with the Pride.
The Dutchmen cap the non-conference portion of their schedule with a home game against the Utica Pioneers on Sep. 24.
Union kicks off the Liberty League portion of the schedule on Oct. 1 as the Dutchmen host Buffalo State for Homecoming and Family Weekend.
Following back-to-back home games, the Dutchmen head to the North Country to face St. Lawrence on Oct. 8. Union will enjoy a bye week on Oct. 15 before hosting Rochester on Oct. 22.
After a thrilling overtime Homecoming win in 2021, Union will head to Hobart on Oct. 29 to face off with the Statesmen.
The Dutchmen will celebrate the senior class in the final regular season home game on Nov. 5 when they host Ithaca.
Rounding out the regular season is the annual Dutchmen Shoes game with rival Rensselaer. The game will be played in Troy on Nov. 12.
