GLOUCESTER, Mass. – Five members of the Union College men's hockey team were recognized as Krampade All-American Scholars for the 2021-22 season, the American Hockey Coaches Association announced last week.
Senior
Fletcher Fineman and junior
Merek Pipes earned the recognition for the third straight season, while senior
Ryan Sidorski earned the distinction for the second year in a row. Senior
Josh Kosack and first-year
Collin Graf both earned the honor for the first time in their careers.
Union's total number of All-American Scholars rises to 20 in the six years of the program, including an impressive 13 honorees in the last two seasons.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and had to appear in 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders.
A total of 523 Division I men's student-athletes earned the honor for the 2021-22 season.
