WHITESBORO, N.Y. – The Union College women's golf team won three of the four contested matches to pick up a 4-1 match-play victory over William Smith College on Saturday at Sadaquada Golf Club.
 
Senior Colleen Buckley and sophomores Elizabeth Bentsianov and Elle Lagor all picked up individual wins on the day, as did first-year Delaney Fox via forfeit.
 
Bentsianov defeated Caroline Gannon, 2 and 1, in the first match to go out for the day. Buckley followed with a 6-and-5 win over Justine Burness, and Lagor had the biggest win of the day, defeating Marcella Venettozzi, 8 and 7. 
 
After taking next weekend off, Union will play a pair of rounds in the Capital District on April 22 and 23, taking on St. Lawrence University at Schenectady Municipal Golf Course on Saturday and Edison Golf Club on Sunday.
