SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Union College men's crew team competed in three events at the 2024 Liberty League Championships on Friday morning at Fish Creek.

Union raced in the Varsity Eight, the 2nd Varsity Eight, and the Novice Four.

The Varsity Eight faced off with three nationally ranked teams and one team receiving votes in the national poll. Union finished fourth with a time of 6:23.068, 9.645 seconds ahead of #15 Skidmore College. Union's boat was made up of junior Sarah DeRosa (coxswain), sophomore Sam Flynn (stroke), senior Braman Cronin (7 seat), junior Zach McConnell (6 seat), first-year Stuart Livingston (5 seat), senior Giani DiGennaro (4 seat), junior Alex Chan (3 seat), senior Harrison White (2 seat), and senior Cole Abdinoor (bow).

The 2nd Varsity Eight boat finished in third behind Ithaca and RIT with a time of 6:44.481 and finished ahead of Skidmore and St. Lawrence. Union's boat was made up of sophomore Khadija Amir (coxswain), first-year Angus Hall (stroke), first-year Kenny Kromer (7 seat), sophomore Erik Roberts (6 seat), sophomore Benjamin Stern (5 seat), junior Josh Vaidman (4 seat), sophomore Nick Meyer (3 seat), senior Ethan Conrad (2 seat), and sophomore Cody Morrison (bow).

The Novice Four boat finished second in a head-to-head race with Rochester. Union closed the gap in a sprint at the finish, but was edged out by 3.184 seconds to finish second. Union's team was made up of junior Charlie Whiteford (coxswain), first-year Danny Bender (stroke), first-year Wolfgang Bodge (3 seat), first-year Tyler Perry (2 seat), and first-year Chase McDivitt (bow).

Union is on the road next weekend at the Dad Vail Regatta beginning on Friday in Pennsauken, NJ.
