Flanagan and Perry Earn Weekly Awards; Six on Honor Rolls

TROY, N.Y. –  Senior Patch Flanagan (football) earned his third Offensive Performer of the Week nod of the season while classmate Jacob Perry (men's soccer) was named Defensive Performer of the Week for the first time in his career in addition to six more student-athletes earning spots on their respective sports' honor rolls for the week ending on October 12, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.

Football Offensive Performer of the Week: Patch Flanagan
Flanagan accounted for 313 total yards and all four Union touchdowns in a 33-16 win over Hobart on Saturday to earn his third weekly honor in the last four weeks. The senior completed 11-of-15 passes for 197 yards, while also running 23 times for 116 yards and four touchdowns, which is tied for third on the school's single-game rushing touchdowns list. The senior leads the Liberty League in both passing yards and rushing yards this season.

Men's Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week: Jacob Perry
Perry did not concede a goal in two matches last week, stopping all 10 on-target shots he faced as Union went 1-0-1. The senior keeper made nine saves as Union knocked off a Vassar squad receiving votes in the national poll by a 1-0 score on Wednesday, then made one stop on Saturday as Union and RIT battled to a scoreless draw. Perry leads the Liberty League in saves and saves per game so far this season.

Honor Roll Mentions:

Football: Logan Miller
Miller had a pair of sacks and forced a fumble in the end zone that resulted in a safety in Union's 33-16 victory over Hobart on Saturday.  His sack-fumble in the end zone put Union up 16-0 in the second quarter and he added another sack inside the Hobart 10-yard line in the fourth quarter.

Starting on the sixth hole, she posted back-to-back birdies on the par-five 9th and 10th holes to quickly move toward the top of the leaderboard, and carded nine pars and four bogies over the final 13 holes. Her two-under-par score on the par-fives was second-best in the field on the day.
