DANBURY, Conn. – First-year Megan Duplantie of the Union College women's hockey team was named ECAC Hockey Bitcoin Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday morning.

Duplantie netted two goals in Union's 7-5 victory over Saint Anselm College in the Ice Breaker Tournament semifinal on Friday afternoon.

This marks the second time Duplantie has earned Rookie of the Week honors, previously receiving the award on October 7 after scoring twice, including the game-tying goal with 50 seconds remaining, to force overtime against Merrimack College on October 4.

Through eight games this season, Duplantie has recorded four goals and one assist for five points.

Union concludes its stretch of 10 straight home games this weekend, opening ECAC Hockey play against #10 Clarkson University on Friday at 6:00 p.m and St. Lawrence University on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
