**Registration for the event has closed, but is not required to attend the event!  All are welcome to join us on Wednesday evening!**

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Get your first chance to see both the 2025-26 Union College men's and women's hockey teams and their brand-new home on Wednesday, September 3, when the Garnet Chargers host a welcome event at the M&T Bank Center!
 
The event will feature player introductions, skills competitions, 4-on-4 scrimmages, and the chance to meet players from both teams after the festivities. Spectators will have the opportunity to get their first taste of the concessions offerings, purchase Union merchandise, hear interviews from the players and coaches throughout the night, and more!
 
Doors will open to M&T Bank Center at 5:15 p.m., allowing fans to explore the concourse, grab a bite to eat, and purchase some Union gear for the upcoming season. Players will take the ice for warmups at 5:45 p.m., followed by introductions of both teams at 6 p.m. before the skills events – including a fastest skater competition, an obstacle course relay, and a shootout contest. Four-on-four scrimmages for both teams will close out the evening, followed by the opportunity to get autographs from your favorite players in the main concourse after the event.
 
This event is FREE and open to the public!
