DANBURY, Conn. – A program-record 25 members of the Union College men's hockey team were recognized with spots on the 2025-26 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or have a GPA over 3.0 over the last three trimesters.

Seniors Ethan Benz, Carter Korpi, Cal Mell, and Nick Young led the way for Union by earning the honor for the fourth consecutive season. Their classmate Brandon Buhr was honored with a spot on the Commissioner's List for the second year in a row, repeating as the team's top scholar-athlete from the 2025-26 season. Individuals previously named to the team are designated with an asterisk (*) signifying the number of years previously honored.
