Baseball's Game With Sage Canceled

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College baseball team's game against Russell Sage College on Tuesday, April 21 has been canceled.

The Garnet Chargers and Gators were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader in early March, but the games were postponed twice before ultimately being canceled at the request of Sage.

Union is coming off of a series victory over Bard College, featuring 30 runs scored across three games. Russell Sage is 25-5 and the top-ranked team in Region III.

Ahead of a conference series with Skidmore College beginning Friday, April 24, Union will visit Williams College on Wednesday, April 22 at 4 p.m. for a nonconference bout.

Union is 4-5 in divisional play and tied with Bard for second place in the Liberty League East Division. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has the top seed in the division locked up, but two wins over Skidmore (16-12, 3-6 division) this weekend will guarentee Union a spot in the Liberty League Crossover Series.
