GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Union College baseball team was recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association with the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, sponsored by Sports Attack, for the 2026 season, the association announced on Wednesday.

The team has been honored for the 11th straight year, making Union one of the only teams in the country to earn the distinction in every season since the award's inception in 2016. To be recognized, collegiate and high school baseball teams must maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale for the entire academic year. 

On the diamond, Union posted a 17-20 record and second-place finish in the Liberty League East Division. Off the field, the team tied a program record with 15 players named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team. Seniors Andrew Keaveney and Caleb Miller as well as junior Jacob Skarlis earned spots on the 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators.
