Rochester sweeps Union, 8-6 and 14-6

The Yellowjackets clinched a berth in the UCAA playoffs by sweeping a doubleheader at Union on Sunday afternoon.

Rochester won, 8-6, in game one and 14-6 in game two. The Yellowjackets are 8-2 in the UCAA and in first place on a percentage basis (.800) over Clarkson (9-3).

All four teams are now determined for the UCAA playoffs. Clarkson and Rochester will be joined by Rensselaer (7-3) and Union, which is 6-6 in the UCAA and 13-12 overall.

Senior catcher Dan Mehleisen collected three this in four at bats, including a solo home run in the seventh. Adam Chadwick also had three hits, including a double, while Ben Brown contributed a pair of singles to Union's 12-hit attack.

Mehleisen was again among the hitting stars for the Dutchmen in the nitecap as he was four-for-four including a double. Mike Flanagan and Brown each had three hits and each drove in three runs.
