TROY, N.Y.Abby Arceneaux tossed a three-hit shutout in the opener and Union used an eight-run seventh inning to rally from a 5-4 deficit in the nitecap as the Dutchwomen swept a twin bill from Russell Sage, 3-0 and 12-5.
Arceneaux, who improved to 5-1, gave up just three singles while striking out eight and walking one. Union picked up all of its runs in the top of the third with Colleen White driving in the first run with a bases-loaded single and Katie Ratner following that up with a two-run base hit.
Trailing 5-4 entering the top of the seventh, the Dutchwomen sent 12 batters to the plate to collect eight runs on seven hits. Sophomore shortstop Beth Carcone, the team's No. 9 hitter, started the inning with a single (and eventually scored) and delivered a two-out, two-run double in her second at bat of the frame.
Arceneaux singled in a run, White had a two-run single, and winning pitcher Jackie Coffey helped her own cause with an rbi single.
