LAKELAND, FL -- Union College improved to 2-1 with a split of a doubleheader against Albright Monday. The Dutchmen lost the opener, 15-9, but came back for a 3-2 victory in the nightcap. The twinbill was played on the campus of Southeastern College.

In the first contest, sophomore pitcher John Moore (Westport, MA/Moses Brown) took the defeat. Zach Tillo (Lancaster, MA/Exeter), Kyle Murphy (Plymouth, MA/Phillips Academy) and Adam Chadwick (Hampton, NY/Winnacunnet) had two hits each for the Dutchmen.

Union picked up the victory in the second contest as Ben McGuire (Gloversville/Gloversville) pitched the victory and freshman hurler Kevin McCormick (Utica/Utica) earned his first career collegiate save. Mike Flanagan (Oxford/Mercerberg) had two of the Dutchmen's five hits in the nightcap.

Union, now 2-1 on the season, will play Williams tomorrow at 3 p.m.
