FT. MYERS, FL -- Junior tri-captain Abby Arceneaux (Mechanicville/Mechanicville) pitched a complete-game win and also had three hits to lead Union to a 5-1 victory over Colby in softball action Monday.

Tri-captain Julie Gawronski (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) had two hits and two RBIs for the Dutchwomen, who improved to 1-2 on the young season. Freshman Kelly Owings (Oswego/Oswego) added two hits in the 12 hit attack, and the newcomer also scored two runs in the triumph.

Colby was held to six hits by Arceneaux in the contest. It was the first of two games Monday for Union, which would face Carroll later in the day.
