FT. MYERS, FL -- Abby Arceneaux (Mechanicville/Mechanicville) pitched a four-hit shutout and helped her own cause with the bat to lead Union to a 2-0 softball win over Chicago Tuesday.

Arceneaux was 3 for 4 at the plate, and struck out four Chicago batters to improve to 2-1. Karyn Rautenberg (Boston, MA/Latin School) added two hits for the Dutchwomen, who had seven hits in the contest.

Union, 3-2, was scheduled to face Lawrence in another game Tuesday, but the schedule of teams in Florida was switched and Union will later meet Bowdoin College.
