TAMPA, FL -- Union took on Ramapo in a doubleheader and lost by scores of 7-6 and 9-0 Thursday during the Dutchmen's spring trip.

Union had the tying run on second with one out but Ramapo got out of the jam in the seventh and final inning of the first contest.

In the opener, Union had 10 hits and fought back from a 4-1 deficit after the first and after trailling 7-2 after the second inning. Ben Brown (Brookline, NH/Bishop Guertin) had three hits and scored two runs for Union, while Matt Smith (Latham/LaSalle) had two hits in the leadoff slot.

In the nightcap, two Ramapo pitchers allowed just three hits and one walk in the contest. Adam Chadwick (Hampton/ Winnacunnet) had two of the Union hits.

The Dutchmen are scheduled to face Trinity Christian at the University of Tampa Friday at 11 a.m.
