Albany, NY (April 10, 2005) Union made it 12 straight by sweeping Liberty League foe St. Lawrence Sunday afternoon in a doubleheader contest played on the campus of UAlbany due to wet field conditions on Union's home field. In the first game Julie Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY) broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single as the Dutchwomen came away with a 3-0 win. In game two Union scored four runs over the final two innings to complete a 5-2 come-from-behind win. Gawronski scored on a St. Lawrence error to tie the game at 2-2 in the fifth before Erika Eisenhut (Mohawk, NY) drove home Colleen White (Westport, CT) to give Union the lead for good. Union is now 15-3 overall and 2-0 in the Liberty League.

Captain Abbey Arceneaux (Mechanicville, NY) pitched the shutout in game one, walking only two batters while striking out nine for her seventh win of the season. Freshman Kelly Owings (Oswego, NY) had two hits in three plate appearances with an RBI.

In game two junior Jackie Coffey (Boston, MA) allowed just one earned run on seven hits and struck out four to improve to 8-2 on the season. Once again Owings was consistent with two hits in three at-bats and scored two runs. White drove in two runs on her only hit of the game.

Up next the Dutchwomen put their win streak on the line when they travel to Utica for a twinbill on Tuesday, April 12^th at 3:30 p.m.
