SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Skidmore swept a Liberty League doubleheader over Union College Sunday, 4-3 and 6-4.

With the sweep, the Dutchmen fell to 8-18 overall and 2-8 in the conference.

In game one, Union junior Ben McGuire (Gloversville/Gloversville) hit a home run and drove in three runs for the visitors. Three players had two hits each in the defeat for Union, Ben Brown (Brookline, NH/Bishop Guertin), Zach Tillo (Lancaster, MA/Exeter) and Jeff Viamari (Longmeadow, MA/Tabor Academy).

The Dutchmen got two hits and two RBIs from Brian Rhone (Dedham, MA/Loomis Chaffee) in the nightcap.

Union is back in action Tuesday for a single game at Hamilton at 4 p.m.
