Union softball finishes Florida trip 10-0, defeats Bowdoin

FT. MYERS, FL -- Union wrapped up a perfect Florida week with a 14-6 victory over Bowdoin Friday. The Dutchwomen had 15 hits in the triumph and finished the week 10-0.

The Dutchwomen got another triumph from pitcher Abby Arceneaux (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville), who also had a triple on the day. Union got a grand slam from Beth Carcone (Utica, NY/New Hartford) and a homer from Catherine Kielb (Rensselaer, NY/Columbia). Outfielder Julie Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY/Dunkirk) also added a homer for the Dutchwomen.

Union returns back to campus this weekend, and will open the home season on Friday, March 31, as the Dutchwomen host Mount Saint Mary at 3 p.m.
