FORT MYERS, FL – The Union College softball team dropped a pair of games Saturday, falling 11-9 to Wisconsin-Superior and 10-6 against Hamline.
Megan Kaknis (New Windsor, NY/ NFA) led the Dutchwomen (1-3) with three extra-base hits and five RBI.
Kaknis
hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning and added a triple to lead the Dutchwomen against Wisconsin Superior. Colleen
White (Westport, CT/ Staples) went 2-for-4 with four RBI and
Michelle Rogers (Clarence, NY/ Clarence) hit a perfect 4-for-4.
Ginni Sack (Burnt Hills, NY/ Burnt Hills) took the loss on the mound, striking out three. Sack stands at 0-1 on the season.
In game two against Hamline, Kaknis led the Dutchwomen, hitting 2-for-4 with a triple and 2 RBI. Catherine
Kielb (Rensselaer, NY/ Columbia) had 2 RBI with two hits. Freshman
Tiffany Ippoliti (Schuylerville, NY/ Schuylerville) took the loss on the mound and stands at 1-1 on the season.
The Dutchwomen are back in action on Sunday, March 25 in games against SUNY New Paltz and MIT.
