Game Notes
PRINCETON, NJ -- The Dutchmen are staring at 16 straight ECAC Hockey contest, beginning with a 7 p.m. game on Friday, Jan. 9 at No. 5/7 Princeton. The following night (Saturday, Jan. 10), they travel to rv/rv Quinnpiac for a 7 p.m. outing.

The Princeton game marks the second time this season the Dutchmen have faced the Tigers, who won the first outing 4-1 at Messa Rink on Nov. 15. Union and Quinnipiac have met twice already this season. The Dutchmen erased a 4-0 first-period deficit and sophomore forward
Stéphane Boileau scored in overtime to lift his team to a 6-5 victory during the first game of the season at the 2008 Mutual of Omaha Stampede hosted by Nebraska-Omaha. The Bobcats avenged the loss with a 6-3 win at Messa Rink on Nov. 14.
After nearly 20 days between games, the Dutchmen returned to the ice for a loss (3-1 against top-ranked Notre Dame) and a win (2-1 against UMass-Lowell) at the 2009 Shillelagh Tournament. Sophomore goaltender
Corey Milan posted a 2.01 goals-against and a .931 with 24 saves against the Irish and 30 against the River Hawks.
Also potting goals during the weekend were Boileau and junior forward
Jason Walters.
Milnamow, who is second on the team with seven goals, is third in the country among defensemen with 0.39 goals per game. He is also tied for 40th with 0.44 points per game.
The senior leads ECAC Hockey defenseman for goals and is tied for first for points and in the last nine games, he has totaled nine points, behind three multi-point games.
Sophomore forward
Adam Presizniuk leads the Dutchmen with a career-high eight goals and 17 points and is tied for first with nine assists. This season he is on pace to finish the regular season with 15 goals, 17 assists and 33 points. Presizniuk is tied for fourth in the league in points, tied for fifth in goals and tied for sixth in assists. Nationally, he is tied for 66th with 0.94 points per game and tied for 45th with 0.44 goals per game.
Princeton enters the weekend with only three loses and sits atop the ECAC Hockey standings. The Tigers, however, are coming off a 4-0 loss against Dartmouth on Saturday, Jan. 3.
The team is led by senior forward Brett Wilson, who has five points, a team-high tying four assists and 14 points. He has produced three power-play goals and one shorthanded marker.
Behind him are junior forward Mark Magnowski and junior defenseman Jody Pederson, who have 13 and 11 points, respectively. Pedeson is tied with Wilson with nine assists. Sophomores Matt Godlewski and Sam Sabky each have 10 points behind four goals and six assists.
Junior Zane Kalemba has played in all 16 games, posting a 13-2-0 record with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage.
In a series that dates back to 1982, the Dutchmen own a 19-17-4 record and a 17-16-4 Division I mark against the Tigers. In the last 10 outings, Union has posted a 6-3-1 record with its last victory coming on Feb. 1, 2008 (4-3) at Union. Four of the last five contests have gone into overtime with the Dutchmen posting a 2-1-1 record in those games.
The Bobcats are rolling, winners of their last five and nine of their last 11. They are coming off a pair of ECAC Hockey victories, defeating Harvard 5-2 on Friday, Jan. 2 and Dartmouth 6-0 on Saturday, Jan. 3.
Senior forward Bryan Leitch leads the conference with 31 points and 23 assists. He has also totaled eight goals, including four on the power play and two game-winners. Classmate David Marshall has registered 22 points with a team-high 10 goals. He has also produced 12 assists.
Senior Bud Fisher and freshman Dan Clark have split time in goal recently. This season Fisher has posted a 3-4-0 record with a 3.70 goals-against average and a .887 save percentage. Clark has a 2-0-0 record with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .960 save percentage.
Saturday's contest will bet he 12th all-time meeting between the two schools and 10th since the 2006-07 season. The Bobcats own an 8-3-1 advantage over the Dutchmen, but have only won one of the last four outings. Four of the last five meetings have been determined by one goal or less, including three overtime games.
Union opened this season with a 6-5 come-from-behind overtime win against Quinnpiac at the 2008 Mutual of Omaha Stampede hosted by Nebraska-Omaha. Bobcat assistant coach Bill Riga spend five seasons at Union under head coach Nate Leaman before departing prior to this season.
