Sarah Tardiff was named Liberty League player of the week for her outstanding performance last Saturday at the Mt. St. Mary's Invitational, the conference announced Tuesday.
In the 5K distance, Tardiff finished second out of 129 runners with a time of 21:35.69. Her performance helped lift the women's cross country team finish first overall at the meet.
Tardiff is the first player this season to receive player of the week honors in the sport.
The Dutchwomen will head to Canton, NY on Oct. 10 for the Liberty League Championships hosted by Saint Lawrence. The match is set to start at 11 a.m.
