WATERFORD, Conn. – The Union College women's cross country team made its final competitive tuneups before the upcoming Liberty League Championships at Saturday's Connecticut College Invitational, held at Harkness Park.
The Garnet Chargers finished in the middle of the pack in the 33-team White race, placing 17th overall with 520 points.
Sophomore
Kyleigh Record was the first Union runner to cross the finish line, earning a spot in the top-50 by traversing the 6K course in 23:36.00. Junior
Annabel Dobash also earned a top-100 finish, placing 84th in 24:03.80. First-years
Eilis McKenna (25:04.90) and
Kate Monaco (25:14.20) as well as sophomore
Isla Langsdorf (25:22.40) rounded out the top-five for the Garnet Chargers.
After taking next weekend off, Union will return to action at the Liberty League Championships, which will be held at St. Lawrence University's Hoffman Cross Country Course on Saturday, November 1.
