SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men's and women's cross country teams are set for the 2025 Liberty League Championship this weekend hosted by Clarkson University at St. Lawrence University's Ronald C. Hoffman Cross Country Course.
Junior
Bretton Garrick has paced the men's team in all four races he has participated in so far this season, including a fourth-place finish at the Vassar Season Starter and a top-20 result at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational. Sophomore
Liam Fitzgibbon has been a top-two finisher for the team in three competitions, while senior
Will Plante will look to keep the momentum going at his final conference championship after running a solid race at Connecticut College two weeks ago. First-year
Cole Lewek also made big strides at Connecticut College at the team's top finisher.
Junior
Annabel Dobash and sophomore
Kyleigh Record have been the top-two runners on the women's side this season as both runners have traded the first and second spots on the team at all five races. Dobash has a pair of top-20 results to her credit this season, finishing a team-best ninth at the Vassar Season Starter and 15th at the Paul Short Run, while Record posted her second team-leading time of the season with a top-50 finish the last time out at the competitive Connecticut College Invite. First-years
Kate Monaco and
Eilis McKenna also look to make an impact in their first conference championship runs as well.
The men's 8k race is slated to begin at 11am with the women's 6k set for noon.
