For the first time this season, the Union College men's ice hockey team hits the road for an ECAC Hockey weekend. The Dutchmen, who are coming off a pair of 3-3 ties to Brown and #6 Yale, go to St. Lawrence on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. and then to Clarkson on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. Although it's still early in the season, Union (0-0-2) and St. Lawrence (1-1-0) are tied for fifth place with two points each, while Clarkson is in 11th with an 0-2-0 record.

This weekend's contests will be broadcasted on WRUC 89.7 FM and Teamline.cc with Matt Dubrey and Brian Unger '93 on the call. Video of both outings can also be accessed through B2tv.com and live stats can be found via ecachockey.com.

Entering the weekend, the Dutchmen are 12th nationally with 3.56 goals-per-game. The team has scored 32 goals through nine games – the most since producing 37 tallies to begin the 1994-95 season. The 32 goals are also the third most in program history through nine games.

If Union stays on pace, it will set a new school record with 121 goals (34 games). Last season, the team put up the second-best showing in program history with 111 goals (39 games), trailing the 1993-94 team which produced 117 goals (30 games).

The Dutchmen have set a program record with four-straight overtime games, going 0-2-2 during the span. In the last seven outings, five have gone into the extra frame. The four-game streak began with a 5-6 setback on Oct. 24 against Sacred Heart, despite a four-goal third period rally. RPI claimed a 4-3 win on Oct. 30 and the Dutchmen tied Brown and Yale, 3-3, on Nov. 6 and 7.

Senior forward Mario Valery-Trabucco and junior forward Adam Presizniuk lead the team with 10 points each. Through nine games, Trabucco has produced three goals and a team-high-tying seven assists, while Presizniuk has totaled a team-best four goals and six assists.

Both players have produced three multi-point games with Trabucco putting up two three-point outings. Presizniuk has registered at least one point in seven of nine games.
