Two Victories In Two Games For Softball

CLAREMONT, FL – Junior pitcher Ginni Sack increased her shutout streak to 15 innings, picking up the save in one inning of work in Union College's 4-2 victory against Elmhurst. She followed with seven shutout innings in a 2-0 win against Wellesley. Both games were apart of the Dutchwomen's spring break trip and the team is now 3-1.

During game one, junior Lindsay Colvin pitched seven innings, striking out one. The Dutchwomen fell behind, 1-0, in the first but responded with a run in the third and three in the fourth. Sack was called on in the seventh and whiffed one batter.

During game two, she struck out six and allowed the Union offense to tally seven hits with runs in the third and fourth innings.

The games continue on Tuesday, Mar. 24 with a 3:30 p.m. contest against D'Youville and a game against Manchester.
