CLAREMONT, FL -- A thrilling day on the softball diamond led to two victories for Union College. During game one, the Dutchwomen mercy ruled eighth-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater, 8-0, in six innings. They followed with a 2-1 seventh-inning victory against Mount Vernon Nazarene.
The Dutchwomen unloaded 13 hits against Wisconsin-Whitewater with senior
Megan Kaknis leading the way, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Junior pitcher
Ginni Sack still has not allowed this season, pitching 21 shutout innings.
During the second outing, Union grabbed a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh when senior
Kaitlin Graham singled to score freshman

In the bottom half of the inning and with two outs, Graham gunned down a runner at the plate to end the game and improve Union's record to 7-1.
The Dutchwomen's spring break trip concludes on Friday, Mar. 27 with a 9:30 a.m. game against Lawrence and a 11:30 a.m. outing against Chicago.
