Dutchwomen sweep with wins over #15 Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Wesleyan

ORLANDO, FL --
The Union College softball team had a big day with a 6-5 comeback victory over #15 Wisconsin Eau-Claire and an 8-2 triumph over Wesleyan. The Dutchwomen are now 4-4.

Union trailed 4-0 after the top of the first against the 15th ranked team in the country. But the Dutchwomen fought back and scored one in the bottom of the frame and five in the second inning. Lindsay Cohen and Erika Hillenbrand had RBI doubles in the inning.

Amanda Blake got the win, allowing only two hits after the first inning.

Against Wesleyan, Lauren Hoffman was three for three from the leadoff spot and Nina Cervini had a three RBI double as Union won 8-2. The Dutchwomen scored four times in the fourth to break open a 2-1 lead. Sarah Logan improved to 2-0 while allowing just one earned run over six innings.

Union closes out the week in Florida with Friday games against Bowdoin and Plymouth State.
