SCHENECTADY, NY-- The Union College women's swimmer Christina Belforti and diver Sarah Dimmitt were named the Liberty League's Swimmer and Diver of the Week for their performances in meets through January 3.

Belforti placed first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.40, she finished nearly three seconds ahead of the second-place finisher against Amherst.

Dimmitt swept the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competition against Amherst with scores of 214.56 and 260.47, respectively.

The Dutchwomen take on Hartwick and Springfield in a tri-meet in Oneonta, N.Y., on January 9 at 1 p.m.
