This Weekend
The Dutchmen look to bounce back after a rough start to the season with their first home games of the season, hosting Massachusetts on Friday at 7 p.m. and Vermont on Sunday at 4 p.m. Vermont will take on Quinnipiac in Hamden, CT, Saturday before Sunday's contest against Union. 

Weekend Promotions
Fans in attendance for Friday's home opener against Massachusetts will receive a free Union Hockey schedule magnet, courtesy of New Country Lexus. For Sunday's contest against Vermont, the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free Union Hockey schedule poster, courtesy of Trustco Bank. The team will also hold an autograph-signing sesson after the game on Sunday.

Media Coverage
Both games this weekend will be streamed live online through UnionAthletics.tv as part of the All-Access subscription. A single-game pass for streaming Union's home games can also be purchased for $8.95.  Matt Dubrey and Brian Unger will have the call for the games this weekend, with Sam Sigal providing rink-side commentary. The audio feeds can be accessed for free through TeamLine.cc. Live Stats for both games will be available through UnionAthletics.com.

Noteworthy: Anthony Rinaldi scored twice in the opening game against the Huskies, while first year forward Josh Kosack scored his first collegiate goal to cap off Union's scoring against Michigan Tech.

Noteworthy: Union out-shot Minnesota, 8-4, in the third period, but was unable to get anything past Gophers' netminder Eric Schierhorn.

vs Massachusetts
The Minutemen enter the weekend with an all-time record of 4-3-0 against the Dutchmen. However, the only game played between the two teams in the past 10 years was during last season, which saw Union earn a 4-3 overtime win against Massachusetts on Dec. 11, 2016.

Massachusetts enters the weekend with a 1-1-0 mark after spltting last weekend's series at Arizona State. The Minutemen lost the first game to the Sun Devils, 3-5, but bounced back for the split with a 4-2 win on Saturday.

Massachusetts received scoring from seven different skaters last weekend, and four skaters for the Minutemen have two points each: Jake McLaughlin; John Leonard; Niko Rufo; and Mario Ferraro. The Minutemen split time in net last weekend between sophomore Ryan Wischow and freshman Matt Murray, with Murray earning the win on Saturday.

vs Vermont
The Catamonts own an all-time record of 17-12-2 against Union College. The two teams met for a two-game series last season, Dec. 17-18, 2016. Vermont entered that series ranked No. 11 in the nation, but the Dutchmen came away with the weekend sweep, winning by scores of 7-3 and 2-1.

The Catamonts also enters the weekend with a 1-1-0 record after splitting its two-game series with Colorado College. The Catamonts posted a 3-0 win over the Tigers on Friday, before CC took Saturday's contest by a score of 4-3.

Leading the Catamonts on offense is sophomore Ross Colton, who scored four of Vermont's six goals against Colorado College. Junior Brian Bowen is second on the team with three assists. Sophomore goaltender Stefanos Lekkas played in net for both games against the Tigers, and made 56 saves on 60 shots.

Leading By Example
Bennett was tabbed as ECAC Hockey Coach of the Year for the second time in his career (2011-12) after guiding the Dutchmen to a share of their fourth Cleary Cup title with a conference record of 16-4-2 in 2016-17.
