TROY, NY - Union College swimming and diving junior Sam Hoyt was named Liberty League Diver of the Week as announced by the League Office on Monday afternoon.

This is the fourth week that Hoyt has won diver of the week in the Liberty League.

Hoyt qualified for the NCAA Championships along with fellow junior diver Matthew Mintz this weekend after placing third at the NCAA Regionals in Cambridge, MA. Hoyt placed second in the 3M diving event with a score of 541.90 while finishing fifth in the 1M competition with a total of 459.45.

Overall, Hoyt finished third in the Regionals.

The NCAA Championships will be held in Shenandoah, TX from March 15-18.
