SCHENECTADY, NY - Sophomore
Kerry Kelly led the way for the Dutchwomen yesterday, despite the team falling to Springfield College, 195-101.
Kelly took home first place in three individual races. In the 400 IM, she finished first at 4:40.91. The next swimmer's closest margin was over 15 seconds behind Kelly. She also won the 200 fly and 200 back with times of 2:11.66 and 2:11.48, respectively.
Kelly also competed with
Emily Quinn, Annie O'Donnell and
Lindsay Hemminger in the 200-yard medley relay. The team finished in second place and tallied four points for the Dutchwomen.Â
Hemminger also won two individual events. She took first place in the 50 and 100 freestyle races. In the 100 free, Hemminger finished with a time of 54.81, a new season best for the New York native.
Junior
Jennifer Nutter had a strong showing in the 100 backstroke, placing in second place with a time of 1:05.96.
The Dutchwomen return to the pool this Friday to take on Capital District rival, RPI.Â
