vs Yale
Neither side owns an advantage, as the series record between the Dutchmen and Bulldogs sits at 26-26-4 since Union became a Division I program in 1991-92. However, in recent years Union has held the upper hand and has won seven of the last 10 games against Yale.
Last season the two teams split the regular-season matchup, as Yale won in Schenectady, 5-3, while Union won in New Haven, 3-2. Interestingly enough, neither team has a winning record at home against each other. Union trails 11-17-1 at home against Yale, but owns a 14-10-3 record in New Haven.
Friday's game will mark just the second time the two teams have played on neutral ice, with the first time being a 5-0 win for Union in the 2013 ECAC Hockey Tournament semifinal.
vs Boston University
The Terriers and the Dutchmen have only played each other a total of four times, first beginning in 2015. Union trails in the all-time series against BU with a mark of 1-2-1. The two teams met last year in the first weekend of the season in Boston, as the then No. 2-ranked Terriers skated to a 4-1 win. Union's sole win against BU came by a 5-3 score on Oct. 10, 2015 in Schenectady.
vs UConn
Union holds a 7-1-4 all-time record against the University of Connecticut, having won seven of the first eight meetings between 2001-2009. However, the last time the two teams met on Dec. 27, 2014, the Huskies earned their first victory over the Dutchmen by a score of 3-2.
