SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Union College men's swimming and diving team was narrowly edged out at Skidmore College by a 148-144 decision Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Sports Center.

Matt Kenvin picked up a first-place finish with a time of 1:29.80 to earn 11 points. Skidmore scooped up second place finish to regain a two-point lead. Coming down to the third-place finish and the final two points up for grabs, Union's second relay team of sophomore

Josh Hiller and
Ben Sperling were edged out by 0.01 seconds, giving Skidmore the victory.
Junior
Matt Kenvin picked up right where he left off last season with a pair of first place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.54) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.33). Kenvin also recorded a personal best time in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.42.
Senior
Jack Tucker and first-year
Drew Hill claimed the top two spots in the 200-yard butterfly with times of 2:02.75 and 2:07.83, respectively, marking a personal best for Hill. Tucker also placed first in the 100-yard freestyle and Hill added his second personal best of the day in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 53.60.
Junior
Zack Panlilio earned a first-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:21.41 and a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle. Classmate
Bill Megas set new personal bests in the 50-yard freestyle (24.07) and the 100-yard butterfly (57.77), and recorded a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle.
On the boards, sophomore
Colin Farrell claimed the top spot in both the 3-meter dive and the 1-meter dive.
Union will be back in action on Saturday, December 3, when they travel to Willams College. The first event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Samuelson-Muir Pool.
