ITHACA, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team picked up key points on day one of the Liberty League Championships, hosted by Ithaca College at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.
Union currently sits in eighth place with 122 points, only nine points out from sixth place Clarkson. Ithaca leads the conference with 343 points after day one with RIT close behind with 327.

Elise Liebow and
Jessica Frigon and the first-year duo of
Molly Miller and
Kristina Valenti earned a fifth-place finish with a time of 1:51.09, over a second faster than their preliminary time.
Several members of the team earned personal bests during day one. First-year
Molly Miller set a new season-best in the 200-yard IM by almost 14 seconds in the preliminary session before breaking her personal best time in the finals. Frigon swam to a new personal best in the 50-yard freestyle (25.18) in the preliminary session.
Union returns to the pool at 10 a.m. tomorrow for day two of the Liberty League Championships.
