CLIFTON SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Union College women's golf team shot a round of 334 to sit in first place after day one of the William Smith College Spring Invitational, held on Saturday afternoon at Clifton Springs Country Club.
All five Union team members shot in the 80s on Saturday, tying for the fifth-lowest round in school history to lead St. Lawrence University by 26 strokes and the host Herons by 62 strokes.
Senior
Ashley Harding posted the low round of the day with an eight-over-par 80, one stroke better than first-year
Elizabeth Bentsianov, who carded an 81 to sit in second place. Senior
Kiara Beckham sits in third after day one with a round of 85.
Junior
Colleen Buckley finished day one with an 88, followed closely by first-year
Elle Lagor with an 89. First-year
Katerina Dimacopoulos finished with a 103 competing as an individual as well for Union.
The Dutchwomen will be back on the course tomorrow for day two beginning at 10 a.m.
