Women's Swimming & Diving Wraps Up Weekend at RPI

TROY, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team dropped a 139-63 decision at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Sunday afternoon at Robison Pool.

Seniors Emily Langlois and Morgan Malinow put together a strong showing in the 1,000-yard freestyle relay. Langlois finished in third with a season-best time of 11:53.02 and Malinow raced to a fourth-place finish with a personal best time of 12:12.63.  Malinow also added a lifetime best in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:10.18.

First-year Chloe Matthews earned a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.24.

First-year Ella Bouvier set a new season-best time of 5:13:13 in the 400 IM and a new season best in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:07.92.

The 100-yard freestyle saw junior Gabi Acosta set a new personal best with a time of 1:03.17 and junior Meghan Seidberg claimed a season best time of 1:00.80.

Union is back in action on Saturday for senior day against Vassar College. The first event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Alumni Gym Pool.
