ITHACA, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving put together another strong showing on day two of the 13
th Annual Ithaca College Bomber Invite on Saturday at Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.
After two days of competition, the Union College women's swimming and diving sits in eighth place with 296 points and only 11 points back from seventh-place Nazareth University. Ithaca College is currently in first with 955.5 points.
Friday night saw a limited number of swimmers compete. Union's 800 free relay team of junior
Alison Silver, first-year
Kathlyn Pomeroy, sophomore
Grace Furtado, and sophomore
Ella Bouvier finished in 11
th with a time of 8:25.84.
The three-meter diving relay took fifth place with 145.00 points.
Saturday's finals session saw the Union 200 free relay teams go back-to-back to finish 13
th and 14
th, respectively, to combine for 54 points. Relay A finished in 1:44.94 and was made up of sophomore
Chloe Matthews, first-year
Maddie Stanley, Silver, and sophomore Jessica Konsky. The B Relay of senior
Maya Gerber, sophomore
Sarah Ramirez, senior
Kristina Valenti, and sophomore
Samantha Picciotti clocked in at 1:46.93.

Amelia Dino, Valenti, Picciotti, and Matthews, placed 14
th with a time of 4:17.63, only .27 seconds back from the team from Alfred University. Union's relay B team of Furtado, senior
Gabi Acosta, Silver, and Stanley finished in 16
th with a time of 4:24.47.
Konsky qualified for the B final of the 200 free and finished in 1:58.70 before competing in the C final of the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.70 to finish second in her final. In the 100-yard breaststroke, both senior
Molly Miller and Valenti, earned spots in the B final and finished in 1:10.41 and 1:11.00, respectively.
In the 200-yard butterfly, three Union swimmers qualified for the C final. Sophomore
Grace Furtado (2:21.02), Picciotti (2:21.97), and senior
Ally Gowern (2:24.45) placed second through fourth, respectively, in their final.
Gowern earned the top spot in the C final of the 400 IM with a time of 5:01.38. Bouvier, senior
Meghan Seidberg, first-year
Kathlyn Pomeroy, and Miller also competed in the C final to pick up key points for Union.
The Garnet Chargers close out the Bomber Invitational tomorrow beginning at 9:00 am at Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.
