UTICA, N.Y. - Sophomore
Jason Bois knocked off his own Union College men's track and field 60-meter hurdles record at the Pioneer Fast Trax Inviational hosted by Utica University on Saturday, highlighting the team's 12th place finish on the day.
Bois came into the day holding the program record with an 8.66 time recorded in his rookie campaign, and posted a blazing time of 8.62 seconds in the prelims before matching that time in the finals to finish in second and pick up eight points for the Garnet Chargers.
Senior
Ben Trantanella followed with eight points of his own in his second-place finish in the 800 meters, finishing a tenth of a second behind the first-place finisher in second with his 1:58.79 clocking.
First-Year
Aaron Binion also registered a strong performance for Union, timing a personal-best 7.25 seconds in the 60 meter prelims before clocking a 7.26 in the finals to pick up two points for Union.

Syed Muhammed Ali posted a pair of personal-bests on the afternoon, timing a 7.67 run in the 60 meter open run and a 24.46 in the 200. First-Year
Nate Okwaning also put a personal-best in the 200, posting a 24.09 run. In the 800, junior

On the field side, it would be a field day for sophomore
Nick Entner. Enter recorded personal-bests in both the shot put and weight throw, defeating his previous personal-bests by over a foot and a half in the shot put and a foot in the weight throw. Sophomore
Adam Hecker also added a personal-best in the weight throw.
Union returns to action next weekend when they take part in the Fastrack National Invite in Staten Island on Friday and the CNY Valentine Alternative in Utica on Saturday.
